‘No Nasties’ Chocolate Yoghurt

Indulge in this delicious no nasties chocolate yoghurt! A simple 3 ingredients side made with just Greek yoghurt, cacao and maple syrup. Unlike most store-bought chocolate yoghurts loaded with preservatives, added sugars, and artificial flavours, this version is free from nasties while delivering big chocolate flavour.

A great serving of iron, protein and probiotics. Its the perfect guilt-free breakfast boost, snack or dessert.

Serving Suggestions: Serve in bowls with fresh berries, banana slices, or a handful of nuts. Spoon over granola, layer into parfaits, or eat straight as a satisfying high-protein snack. Kid-approved!

Rich, creamy chocolate Greek yogurt bliss! This easy 3-ingredient treat is high in protein, naturally sweetened with maple syrup, and perfect as a healthy dessert, snack, or breakfast topping. Strain for extra thickness and indulge your chocolate cravings at any time!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500g) Greek yoghurt

  • 2 tbsp organic cacao powder

  • 3 tbsp maple syrup, adjust to taste

Directions

  • Add the Greek yogurt, cacao powder, and maple syrup to a food processor or high-speed blender.
  • Blitz until completely smooth and well combined (about 30–60 seconds). Scrape down the sides as needed.
  • Set up a strainer over a bowl. Line the strainer with cheesecloth (or a clean, fine kitchen towel/muslin). Pour the chocolate yogurt mixture into the cheesecloth. Fold the edges over or twist gently to cover.
  • Let it strain in the fridge for 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on desired thickness:30–60 minutes: softer, more mousse-like
    2–4 hours: thicker, almost like a spreadable cheese or labneh
    Once it reaches your preferred consistency, transfer to an airtight container.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
