Hi, I’m Char.

Mumma, sourdough girly, and gut-healing enthusiast learning to live a slow, intentional life.

I used to think I was healthy—eating “clean,” exercising daily, ticking all the wellness boxes. But my body told a different story. After giving birth, I started experiencing chronic symptoms I couldn’t ignore. I was eventually diagnosed with IBS after the pain became so severe I landed in hospital—only to be handed a stack of meds meant to mask the symptoms, not heal them.

That was my turning point.
I turned inward—toward food, nature, and the idea of healing from the inside out. That diagnosis, while frustrating, lit a fire in me. It brought me into the kitchen with purpose, and down a path of deeper self-awareness.

One of the biggest shifts? Cutting out seed oils, preservatives, and processed “nasties.” The result? My IBS symptoms disappeared, my skin became clear and glowy, and (maybe most importantly) my nervous system finally felt regulated. As someone who struggled with anxiety for years, learning how to slow down and breathe again became my greatest motivation to stay on this path.

Now, I bake from scratch, live low-tox, and nourish my body with real, gut-loving ingredients. Most days, you’ll find me trying a new sourdough discard recipe, with a baby on my hip and something fermenting on the counter.

This space is where I share that journey—one cookie, one cycle, one healing moment at a time.
