Mango Chia Jam

A simple, homemade mango jam using either fresh or frozen mango. Perfect topped on yoghurt, fruit or rice cakes! Great for little ones.

Mango Chia Jam

Delicious, easy & refined-sugar free chia jam using fresh or frozen mango!

Ingredients

  • Flesh of 2 mango’s or 2 cups of frozen mango

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Directions

  • Add mango to a small saucepan on a medium heat, warm up and then mash down into puree, keeping it as chunky as you prefer. If using frozen mango this will take longer (~10 minutes)
  • Once mango is pureed, take the saucepan off heat and stir in chia seeds and lemon juice. Let it sit on the counter for ~10 minutes to gel up, before placing in a clean airtight jar and storing in the fridge.

Notes

  • STORAGE: This lasts up to a week in the fridge, and can be frozen in small portions (such as in an ice cube tray) for up to 3 months.
